I am not even going to wait until the end of this review to give you my recommendation. If you have not seen this movie, add it to you rental or purchase list right now. Finding Neverland is about J.M. Barrie (Johnny Depp) and how his play Peter Pan came about. At least on the surface that is what it is about.

As with the play the film is really about creativity and imagination and trying to hold on to that part of life that makes being a kid so much fun. The cast is stellar from top to bottom, but Freddie Highmore as Peter Llewelyn Davis deserves a special notice. Johnny Depp does accents so well I sometimes forget what his real voice actually sounds like and he gives a brilliant, nuanced performance in Finding Neverland. This is honestly a "not a dry in the house" film and most amazingly it does it all without being shamelessly manipulative. I actually can't wait to go back and watch the Disney Peter Pan as it has been years since I have seen it.
